Movie hall opens today after 30 years in Kashmir
The situation in Indian-administered Jammu and Kashmir is stable. Once again, there is an opportunity to go to a group hall in Kashmir and watch a movie. Cinema halls reopen in Jammu and Kashmir after 30 years. Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha inaugurated two multiplexes in Kashmir on Sunday. Out of the two theatres, one is located in Pulwama and the other in Shopian district. The cinema will start showing in the halls from today Tuesday.
After the inauguration, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha tweeted, "A historic day for Jammu and Kashmir. Two cinema halls were inaugurated in Pulwama and Shopian. He dedicated these cinema halls to the local residents and youth of Shopian and Pulwamar. Manoj Sinha said that apart from cinema, there is a system for training youth in information technology. Ordinary people came from far and wide to see this opening ceremony. According to the Indian press, the first movie will be shown in the hall is "Lal Singh Chadda" starring Aamir Khan. Soon such multiplexes will be opened in areas like Doda, Rajouri, Poonch, Kishtwar, Anantnag, Rajouri. It is also learned that the multiplex located in Shivpora area of Srinagar will be opened for public next week. Where 3 screens are arranged for a total seating capacity of 520 people, which also has a touch of Kashmiri tradition. Around 12 cinema halls were functioning in Jammu and Kashmir till late eighties. But in the early nineties, the halls were closed one by one due to various reasons. Since then many attempts have been made to open cinema halls in this valley.
