 Nutritionist Umme Salma Tamanna says potato is a carbohydrate-like food. That's why many people, who want to lose weight, avoid potatoes for many reasons. But the nutrients that potatoes have, if you cut them out of your diet altogether, you are missing out on those nutrients.


 Umm Salma Tamanna said that potato contains a lot of sugar as well as fiber. It aids our digestion, cleanses the digestive system and helps prevent constipation. Potatoes contain vitamin B6, which helps our brain function. If we sometimes include potatoes in the food list with curry, then it will be seen that it will make up for our lack of vitamin B6. Potatoes contain vitamin B6 as well as omega three. If you include potatoes in your daily diet, it will help release the dopamine hormone.


 Nutritionist Umm Salma Tamanna adds that potatoes contain vitamin C, which boosts your immune system and also plays a role in preventing cancer. Potatoes contain vitamin A. Vitamin A prevents us from night blindness and also helps to improve eyesight. In the beginning I said that potato contains fiber, this fiber has another benefit. That is, if you want to control blood sugar for some reason, you can eat potatoes in moderation instead of rice. When your carbohydrate intake is in balance, diabetes will also be under control.


 The nutritionist adds that potatoes contain zinc and phosphorus. We all know that potato helps to get rid of burn marks or scars on our skin.Nutritionist Umme Salma Tamanna says it also has some side effects. If we consume potatoes in excess, we will gain weight. If you normally consume potatoes as a meat, fish curry or stir-fry, you won't be doing much harm; Unless you eat french fries, potato chips or fried foods with potatoes, it will do more harm to our body.
