Saudi announced to get a gold mine in Madinah

A new gold mine has been discovered in the holy city of Medina, Saudi Arabia. Besides gold, copper has also been found in this mine.

The country's Geological Survey (SGS) has officially announced the discovery of the new mine. Saudi Arabia's state news agency Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported the information.

Gold ore has been discovered on the border of Aba al-Raha, the slope of the Umm al-Barak Hejaz in Medina. Copper ore has also been discovered at four locations in the Al-Madiq area of the Wadi Al-Fara region.

The new mine is estimated to cover an area of more than 40 square kilometers. It has huge reserves of gold, copper and zinc.

The mineral chalcocite scattered there is helpful in the production of special copper. Gold and copper mines are able to go into production this year.

The discovery of new mines will further accelerate investment in Saudi Arabia and pave the way for the implementation of Vision 2030.

In January of this year, the Saudi Geological Cooperative Association said that there are more than 5,300 mines in Saudi Arabia. These include various metallic and non-metallic rocks, gemstones, etc.
